Beautiful Winter Park, Colorado is nestled in a valley below the breathtaking Rocky Mountain continental divide just 67 miles northwest of Denver. The Winter Park Ski-Music Festival is the original, longest operating, and highest attended ski music festival, creating lifelong memories for well over 140,000 participants and 1,000’s of attending groups! Winter Park is a geographically beautiful backdrop for a music trip destination. This unique festival provides the ultimate in musical experience and the excitement of warmer spring snow skiing for school band, choir and orchestra members.

Week 1: March 23-26, 2017

Week 4: April 12-16, 2017 (*Easter)
Most the above listed dates are Thursday through Sunday. Groups may arrive earlier or stay later than these listed dates. Performances are typically on Thursday and Friday. Each week and award ceremonies will cap off your festival experience on Saturday evening. After you receive our festival information, you will notice that we offer 2,3, and 4 night packages to choose from. You may choose which day to arrive, nights to stay, and day to depart. After you receive our information, let us help you with your travel itinerary to advise ways for your group to have the best trip experience.
* Our Easter festival week has performances Wednesday evening, Thursday and possibly Friday morning, with the awards ceremony Friday night. This allows groups to attend, depart Winter Park earlier, and to arrive home for Easter Sunday, if desired.

Our festival packages include:
- Overnight lodging for the number of nights and lodging choice you select for your entire group. This can be less expensive ski lodge rooms, large cabins (can house from 10 to 40 people), mountain condos, or ski resort “ski-in/out” condos for 2, 3 or 4 nights.
- Skiing or snow boarding for FOUR days (whether you ski all 4 days or not). Each person will receive a 4 day lift ticket, up to 4 days ski equipment rentals (snowboarding has an upgrade rental charge), and a beginner lesson. OR, we have non-skier activities for your members to choose from, in lieu of skiing. These activities include downhill tubing, scenic chairlift rides, guided snowcat tours, guided snow shoe tours and more!
- Trip insurance for travel interruption/delay and covered medical expenses. This insurance has specific maximum benefits for specific covered expenses during your trip.
For your performing ensembles: Each performing ensemble will be adjudicated by 3 adjudicators, receive a digital recording, receive a divisional rating trophy, and possible receive classification runner-up or winner trophy, and possible receive an Overall Grand Champion trophy.
And our entire festival staff to assist you from start to finish! Yes, the same person you plan your trip with in the months prior is there with you at performances, the awards, your first arrival at the ski resort, rentals, and ski/snowboard lessons. Not only is our staff there for you, but the same 28+ years of local Winter Park festival vendors and community that wants to make your trip experience the very best.
